MILAN FASHION WEEK: DOLCE & GABBANA

In true Dolce & Gabbana style the runway was a alive with eccentric, intricate and elaborate garments.

Tailoring was key in a series of luxury fabrics such as silk, satin, lace and velvet.

I particularly enjoy the flared sleeve shirt with broderie detail.

Tux Lux - Re-invented with intricate lace and contrast lapels.

Simple tee shapes get accessorized with a religious broach.

Religious iconography was a reoccurring theme throughout Dolce & Gabbana's collection with oversized tees providing a monochrome canvas for all over placement prints.

I absolutely have to have this amazing embellished piece! The detail is immaculate and the sparkle of the jewels teamed with the bold yellow make this an iconic piece of the collection.

This embroidered frock coat touches on last season's Old Master floral patterns reworked into a religious tapestry piece beautifying evening tailoring.

Dolce & Gabbana continued to look to the brand's Italian roots for inspiration, this time drawing on the church with all its rich trappings and iconography to colour the fabric and pattern choices.

An iconic portrait of the Virgin Mary closes the show, celebrating a classic Dolce & Gabbana collection -proud of its Italian heritage.
