THE PINSTRIPED DANDY.
Alexander McQueen used a sombre colour palette of black and grey for their classic formal AW1314 collection.
The entire collection was sharp and concise using a combination of pinstripes to create a modern twist.
MONOTONE cropped up in the form of a luxe tuxe pant paired with a colour block roll neck knit.
Alexander Mcqueen's AW1314 offering gave us insight into the tailoring roots of Saville Row.
A dazzling yet simple pattern adorns the model head to toe - giving the impression of a stained glass window. Simplicity on silk.
Flashes of red broke up an otherwise dark and alluring colour palette. Frockcoats were key as well as velvet smoking jackets. As well as formality McQueen offered a paired down version of soft cardigans with traditional pocket details.
The finale piece was an amazing gold baroque style printed coat. Teamed with a contrast collar shirt for the man about town with a fetish for plastic headwear.
