SPECSAPPEAL

I watched A SINGLE MAN again recently and it made me want a pair of Colin Firth's:

If you've not seen Tom Ford's Directing debut please do. I generally love Tom Ford anyway and his amazing glasses can do no wrong. The latest SS12 Campaign is as powerful as ever -and I'd cut off my right arm for a Smoking Jacket and a pair of those Specs!

As someone who is visually challenged I've spent the last week hunting down some new eye wear. TOM FORD was obviously my first choice:

FORD has FINALLY released a frame based on the glasses worn by Firth in the film due to popular demand. As the ones made for the film were specially made vintage - along with most of the costumes.
£230.00 Tom Ford

Unfortunately this frame did not suit my facial structure so I had to look for alternatives :(
I finally settled on a pair made by Booth & Bruce. That had an unusual Olive Fade.

Perfect for work and play.

I've been a fan of Stevie Boi - famous for designing shades for the likes of Lady Gaga & Nicki Minaj for years and his latest spread in POP magazine is just splendid.

Looking fine in some mesh shades with an American Apparel bag.
Maybe one day? I can dream.

Paris Fashion Week: GO WET YOURSELF

KEY TREND: GO WET YOURSELF

Nylon and Plastic wet look finishes give outerwear a new
lease of life.

Designers including RICK OWENS, KENZO, and Phillip Lim refreshing against the standard
density of wool on offer!

RICK OWENS: my personal favourite - reminds me of a jacket I lost a few
seasons ago whilst drunk and disorderly. RIP.

The Jacket I lost. Gone -but not forgotten.

Paris Fashion Week: Dome Knome

KEY TRENDS:DOME KNOME

Mugler - this trend is a bit off the wall but who needs to go to the
gym if you wear one of these bad boys!
Absolutely love this Viktor & Rolf Leather jacket complete with leather gloves!
Gone is the more traditional dropped shoulder in favour of a cocoon shaped shoulderline.
Bigger shoulders =thinner waists.

Paris Fashion Week: Elongated Layering

Key Trend: Elongated Layers
Don't worry people - its not a skirt! The Paris Catwalk was full of long-line tunic shapes teamed with gillets and wait length tailored jackets.
The Givenchy Collection appears to channel Lisbeth from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
This look is an alternative casual to the mainly tailored catwalk collections. Youthful and interesting mix colours layers and material to become one big hotmess. Grab an oversized tunic  and shake it up with a short leather jacket.

Team long sleeves with short. I'd slip on my Drop Crotch pants and layer like a bitch
